SoukidiaVillas, Oitylo, Mani, Laconia, Greece. Email: info@soukidiavillas.gr
The villas are based at Soukidia just above the old port of Karovastasi (literally
“The boat stop”) which served the cliff top local town of Itylo. Here you are in
the epicentre of the beautiful and fascinating Mani peninsula.
The villas are built in traditional Maniat manner, of local stone masonry, but with
every modern convenience. The two villas bear the names of medieval heroines. The
eastern villa that of Filanthe, the romantic Frankish baroness of the castle of Creve
Coeur in the central Peloponnese. The western villa that of the legendary Byzantine
empress Theofano.
Each villa has three double bedrooms with ensuite facilities, a lounge, dining room,
fully equipped kitchen and a roomy living space (playroom). From spring 2013 the
villas benefit from a splendid spacious outdoor private piscine (with jacuzzi jets
and opposing swimming) overlooking the scenery over the Bay of Itylo. Theofano advantages
from very nice steam room where fans of the oriental Hamam can relax and steam away
their worries, aches and pains.
The playroom of Theofano is equipped with a table tennis while that of Filanthe with
a pool (billiards).
View-wise we’re convinced that from the south facing verandas you will experience
some unforgettable sunsets. Relaxing with the drink of your choice overlooking the
wide sweep of the Bay of Itylo. It’s a magical place to unwind and enjoy the holiday
of a lifetime.
